*A Historic Step Towards a Transparent and Technology-Enabled Revenue Administration*

Raipur, February 18, 2026/In a significant stride towards digital governance, Chhattisgarh today marked an important milestone in modernising its revenue administration. Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma formally launched the Digital Kisan Kitab at his residence office. On the occasion, the book “Chhattisgarh Bhu-Abhilekh Niyamavali”, Parts I to IV, authored by Umesh Kumar Patel and Shrikant Verma, was also released. The initiative is set to play a pivotal role in delivering modern, simplified and swift services to farmers and landholders across the state. Director, Land Records, Shri Vineet Nandanwar, along with concerned officials and staff, was present on the occasion.

The Digital Kisan Kitab will now replace the traditional manual farmer’s record book. Through this facility, farmers will be able to access their land-related information online anytime and from anywhere. The service will be available on the Bhuiya portal along with the B-1 and P-II reports, which farmers can conveniently view and download.

Under the digital system, necessary details will be updated automatically, eliminating the need for citizens to visit offices for corrections or modifications. Moreover, with digitally signed certified copies issued by the concerned Patwari, the validity and transparency of documents will be further strengthened.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Shri Verma stated that the Digital Loan Book is not merely a technological innovation but a concrete step towards building a transparent, empowered and citizen-centric revenue administration. He noted that Chhattisgarh is an agrarian state where a large number of farmers depend on land for their livelihood. With loan book-related information now available online and in real time, farmers will find it easier to avail themselves of bank loans, crop loans and benefits under various government schemes.

Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma further emphasised that the digital system will reduce errors, ensure the accuracy of records and make administrative processes simpler and more effective. The initiative will reinforce the concept of “Digital Chhattisgarh” while deepening trust between the government and citizens. Congratulating the Revenue Department, NIC and all officers and technical teams associated with the project, he appealed to citizens to make maximum use of the digital facility.

The launch of the Digital Kisan Kitab and Digital Loan Book is poised to become a milestone in Chhattisgarh’s journey of revenue reforms, granting the state a new identity in the sphere of digital innovation.
